Aim Assist Demo

Aim assist algorithm I wrote last year for a little game I made. 'Predictive' aim assist estimates the optimal aim based on distance to target, target velocity and bullet speed and actively turns the ship towards that point. 'Simple' aim assist on the other hand simply turns the ship towards the enemy. Increasing the strength of the aim assist comes at the cost of decreased maneuverability.


  • W, A, S and D - control ship
  • K - shoot
  • 1, 2 and 3 - choose aim assit mode
  • - and + - decrease/increase strength of aim assist
  • E - change flight pattern of target
  • 4 to 8 - toggle various visuals that show some of the game's mechanics
  • P - pause
  • R - reset
